Keeping your campers safe each summer is always our top priority. We know that the foundation of delivering amazing camp experiences is ensuring camper safety and we plan carefully for this. The global pandemic has led us to carefully examine all of our policies to respond to the increased health threat of the virus.
Our leadership team of physical education teachers are currently delivering physical activity based programs in Ontario schools and have developed best practices for meeting and exceeding public health guidelines, provincial mandates and Ontario Camps Association guidelines. For this reason we believe that we are best situated to deliver a safe, but still robust sports program during these difficult times.
Visit our Covid-19 Policy page for specific measures that we are taking in 2021.
Cancellations before May 31st are offered 100% refunds with no admin fees, due to COVID-19. Cancellations before June 30th are provided with a 50% refund, after July 1st a 25% refund and after the first day of camp a 0% refund. Cancellations for extenuating circumstances will be refunded on a case by case basis (severe sickness, broken bones, etc. are generally granted, but common colds are not refunded)
Cancellations due to a Government shut down will be 100% refunded, without any fees.
If campers need to miss camp due to COVID exposure a credit will be provided for the number of days that the camper missed to be used later in the summer or in 2022, depending on the week. Below is the schedule for credits:
Weeks 1-3: later in the summer
Week 4: Week 5 or in 2022
Week 5: in 2022
Mobile devices and other technology are encouraged to be left at home. Campers are allowed to use their devices during lunch, but camp is meant to be physically active and a time to make new friends! We are not responsible for lost or stolen devices.
We have a zero-tolerance for bullying policy. We work with our parents to keep our campers at camp, but if it is deemed that one camper’s actions are causing another camper to have a negative experience at camp, the offending camper will not be allowed to return to camp and no refund will be provided.
Each camp is overseen by a total of 3 trained professional teachers, with 2 on-site at any given time giving you peace of mind over other day camps. All of our programming is reviewed against a Safety Matrix, all of our staff are hand-picked for their competence and attend a week-long staff training conference prior to the first day of camp.
All of our campers sign a media release waiver prior to the first day of camp. This allows us to show prospective parents/guardians the unforgettable fun times that our campers have during their time at camp!
All of your information provided during registration is held online by a third-party company and is securely encrypted.
Changes can be made without penalty up until May 31st. After May 31st, changes will be made based on availability and a fee of $25 will be charged.
We are a nut-free camp. We require all campers who have a nut allergy to carry an epipen, and each location has extra epipens on site. Any other allergies should be disclosed on our medical form.
Due to the short nature of our programs, we do not offer refunds for sick days.
At each of our camp locations we have access to gyms and classrooms. If there is severe weather, our programs move indoors where the activities do not stop! During extreme heat warning, our campers do not go outside when the temperature rises above 34 degrees Celsius.
Campers should arrive each day with athletic clothes, athletic shoes, sunscreen, water bottle and a snack (lunch as well if not participating in the Meal Plan).
We are a SunSafe camp, meeting all of the Melanoma Network of Canada’s requirements. Our program is designed for our campers to not be outside for more than 2 consecutive hours, take regular water breaks and build in time to apply sunscreen before going outside.
We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. However, we do have a Lost and Found that you should ask about if your camper has misplaced an item! We ask that your campers do not bring any valuables to camp.
